Senior Commercial Construction Project Manager 

Description
Smart Builders senior commercial project manager (PM) is responsible for leading and managing teams to deliver exceptional results. The PM is a senior level position, and is expected to identify, propose, manage, and close construction projects that generate profits for Smart Builders. The senior PM is ultimately responsible for the day-to-day execution, project controls and engineering, cost, risk, and business management of a particular project

• This position directly supervises operations roles such as assistant project manager, MEP managers, and superintendents.
• This position reports to business owners.
• This position has owner contract and subcontractor signature authorities.
• Is expected to manage and support the project team in pursuit of work, contract execution, and financial management.
• Leads the hiring process of team members and employment termination decisions.

Qualifications 

• Candidate must have proven experience with a general contractor providing project management work from project start to finish.
• Four-year degree from an accredited university is strongly preferred in the following areas: construction, architecture, engineering or business concentration.
• At least 7  years of experience at a commercial construction general contractor or in a related position.
• Has been a project manager on several projects or significant portions of a larger project
• Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
• Software proficiency – able to adapt to and become proficient in sector/project-specific software systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam and/or Adobe.
